The Sacrament

Confirmation is a Sacred Sacrament marking an important step of our faith journey, through which we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to make us stronger and more perfect Christians as well as faithful witnesses of Jesus Christ. This sacrament of initiation begins in Baptism and continues through the Eucharist. As each candidate comes forward to be confirmed, they profess their faith in the Catholic Church and take on the responsibility for continuing their religious journey. We seal our baptismal vows and openly embrace the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Preparation
Confirmation Preparation for Confirmation in the Spring of 2024 have begun.
For adolescents to prepare for this sacrament they must:
- Have received BOTH the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist.
- Be currently enrolled in at least the 10th grade.
- Be at least 15 years of age.
Requirements are based off of the Diocesan Guidelines.
